10 Worst Stadiums In Sports History

2. Olympic Stadium (Montreal)

Home of the Montreal Expos

Olympic Stadium’s original purpose was to hold all the events of the 1976 Olympics for the city of Montreal. However, the following year, the stadium turned into the home of Montreal’s MLB expansion team, the Expos. Ultimately, Olympic Stadium became a problem for baseball. Seats were set farther back and the upper deck was one of the highest in the major leagues. The playing surface was also the worst of all-time, forcing players to do their jogs at the park near the stadium. The stadium’s conditions became so bad that free agents didn’t want to come to Montreal. In the end, the Expos relocated to Washington D.C. following the 2004 season, thus becoming the Washington Nationals.
